I received my AA Degree in the Photography Program at Hawkeye Community College in 1996. In 1997 I got the privilege to visit and study with Lori Rose (Signature Images) a photographer based out of Campbell, California. She is an amazing natural light photographer and has won numerous awards. My love of natural light photography was inspired by Lori.

It takes many years for a photographer to gain just the basic skills of photography and then the rest of your life to master them. Still to this day, I spend about 4 months out of each year continuing to invest in my education & training and the other 8 months is spent photographing my clients. My images are created with my eye. I understand how to control light, mold light around my subjects to flatter their features, pose them to take away extra weight, and finally use my equipment to capture the image.

My clients recognize the quality of my work and appreciate the investment I put into myself to give them photographic art of the most important people in their lives. It isn’t uncommon that my clients fall in LOVE with more images then they expected.
